No War in Our Name
The Green Party is strongly opposed to a war against Iraq. Like many others we suspect that the motives for Bush's war might be to divert US public opinion from domestic problems and get control of middle east oil reserves rather than- weapons of mass destruction - since the US has most of the world stock of these, and many other countries possess them such as India, Pakistan, Israel, France, UK
- the war against terrorism - since there is no evidence linking Iraq to Sept 11th 2001
- respect for UN resolutions - since many other countries ignore UN resolutions with impunity, including Israel
